IND vs AUS Test Match: Day 3 Highlights

India have defined their Test form and fortunes with this dramatic Perth comeback. Started being bowled out for 150 on the opening day, hundreds from Virat Kohli and Yashasvi Jaiswal combined with a lethal bowling display by Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj to put India in a commanding position. Chasing a mammoth target of 522, Australia ended Day 3 at 12/3, needing a miracle to salvage the match.

Kohli and Jaiswal Lead From the Front

Yashaswi Jaiswal matched the brilliance of his predecessor with a majestic 161, balancing poise and aggression in beautifully measured strokes. He took his overnight score of 90 into a resounding century before falling to Mitch Marsh. Virat Kohli, playing another classic knock, silenced critics and energized the Indian camp with his 30th Test hundred. Kohli batted with control over Nathan Lyon, and his partnership with debutant Nitish Reddy proved too sharp for Australia to handle.

Bumrah's Firepower Rocks Australia

Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj gave a fiery spell towards the end of the day. Bumrah sent back debutant Nathan Sweeney and struggling Marnus Labuschagne, and Siraj got rid of nightwatchman Pat Cummins. Bumrah's reverse-swinging delivery to trap Labuschagne lbw was the standout moment that left further denting for Australia.

What's Next for Australia?

Josh Hazlewood admitted the challenge ahead: "If two batsmen can score 80-100, we can get Indian bowlers to work." The spotlight now shifts toward Travis Head and Steve Smith, but their form will be important not just for this game but for the balance of the series.

It has taken little more than two-and-a-half days for India to go from being written off to dictating terms in a hostile Perth environment. Their resilience and team spirit have transformed a precarious start into a near-certain victory.

Can Australia script a miracle, or will India seal the deal on Day 4? Stay tuned.
